# Pilot Kurt vs Flight Simulator

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Pilot Kurt at none against Flight Simulator's 12. Pilot Kurt also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). Flight Simulator's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and rating (4.1 vs 3.7). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flight Simulator sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Pilot Kurt asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flight Simulator holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flight Simulator has 4.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pilot Kurt ships an update every 4 months, Flight Simulator fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
