# Degoo vs Starchive

The clearest difference is ads: Starchive at none against Degoo's shown. Starchive also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (59% vs 40%). Degoo's advantage is ratings volume (9.5K vs 182) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Degoo against 4.5 for Starchive. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Degoo has 9.5K ratings behind it against 182, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 40% of Degoo's written reviews are positive against 59% of Starchive's.

Degoo ships an update fortnightly, Starchive monthly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
