# Sarge by Ape Apps vs Cube Samurai

The clearest difference is rating: Cube Samurai at 5.0 against Sarge by Ape Apps's 4.2. Cube Samurai also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 13 months). Sarge by Ape Apps's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sarge by Ape Apps sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cube Samurai sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cube Samurai holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sarge by Ape Apps has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Sarge by Ape Apps ships an update every 13 months, Cube Samurai every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
