# Sarge by Ape Apps vs Speedrun Royale

The clearest difference is rating: Speedrun Royale at 5.0 against Sarge by Ape Apps's 4.2. Speedrun Royale also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.6). Sarge by Ape Apps's advantage is update cadence (every 13 months vs every 54 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sarge by Ape Apps sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Speedrun Royale sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Speedrun Royale holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sarge by Ape Apps has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Sarge by Ape Apps ships an update every 13 months, Speedrun Royale every 54 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
