# Zig vs BCW+

The clearest difference is rating: Zig at 4.6 against BCW+'s 2.2. Zig also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (55 vs 5). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Zig holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zig has 55 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of Zig's written reviews are positive against 20% of BCW+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Zig ships an update every 6 days, BCW+ monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
