# Corkulous vs Defter Notes

The clearest difference is monetization model: Defter Notes at free with in-app purchases against Corkulous's subscription. Defter Notes also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (75% vs 60%). Corkulous's advantage is ratings volume (986 vs 75) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Corkulous sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Defter Notes sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Corkulous against 4.4 for Defter Notes. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Corkulous has 986 ratings behind it against 75, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 60% of Corkulous's written reviews are positive against 75% of Defter Notes's.

Corkulous ships an update every 3 months, Defter Notes every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
