# Corkulous vs Notebook

The clearest difference is monetization model: Notebook at free with in-app purchases against Corkulous's subscription. Notebook also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (71% vs 60%). Corkulous's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Corkulous sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Notebook sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Corkulous against 4.3 for Notebook. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 986 and 523 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 60% of Corkulous's written reviews are positive against 71% of Notebook's.

Corkulous ships an update every 3 months, Notebook every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
