# Excellent Throw vs Raid Plaza

The clearest difference is ads: Excellent Throw at none against Raid Plaza's shown. Excellent Throw also leads on review sentiment (57% vs 47%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). Raid Plaza's advantage is rating (3.6 vs 3.2) and ratings volume (134 vs 43). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Excellent Throw sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Raid Plaza sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Raid Plaza holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 3.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 43 and 134 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Excellent Throw's written reviews are positive against 47% of Raid Plaza's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Excellent Throw ships an update every 3 weeks, Raid Plaza every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
