# Excellent Throw vs Fortune Mill

The clearest difference is rating: Fortune Mill at 5.0 against Excellent Throw's 3.2. Fortune Mill also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks). Excellent Throw's advantage is review sentiment (57% vs 34%) and ratings volume (43 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Excellent Throw sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Fortune Mill sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fortune Mill holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Excellent Throw has 43 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Excellent Throw's written reviews are positive against 34% of Fortune Mill's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Excellent Throw ships an update every 3 weeks, Fortune Mill every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
