# Locatometer vs Big Speedometer

The clearest difference is ads: Big Speedometer at none against Locatometer's shown. Big Speedometer also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). Locatometer's advantage is ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Locatometer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Big Speedometer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Locatometer against 5.0 for Big Speedometer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Locatometer has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
