# StudyPug vs A

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: A at none against StudyPug's 13. A also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (75% vs 59%). StudyPug's advantage is ratings volume (2.1K vs 7) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StudyPug sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. A asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for StudyPug against 4.6 for A. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StudyPug has 2.1K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 59% of StudyPug's written reviews are positive against 75% of A's.

StudyPug ships an update every 8 days, A every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
