parkken is a one-of-a-kind Map and App that translates and simplifies into simple graphics or plain English the Manhattan parking rules for any time and place you request. Simply fill in the “CAN I PARK HERE?" Query dialog and the parkken App scans the majority parking rules for the block at the hour and address selected by you. It displays a Parking Gauge graphic that shows a quick Yes, No, or Soon picture of legal parking allowed. The Area Gauges show multiple Parking Gauge readouts for surrounding blocks. This new version's (3.10.87) CAN I PARK HERE?, Parking Gauge, and Text queries as well as Area Gauges have been updated to interpret restored parking rules after Covid. The signs on the block are once again the rule.. The Base Map and its Clock Symbols will continue to interpret non-commercial parking rules for an overall view. The app also includes locations for pay garages and lots, as needed. A pilot program for garage savings coupons is underway. The App has a GPS button that will orient the map to your location and a Favorites function for storing Quick Links to your favorite neighborhoods. An Alternate Side Suspension Days Calendar page shows you days you don't have to move your car for street sweeping. For more info go to parkken.com.

Spoturr is the parking app for New York City drivers who've wasted one too many laps circling the block. It answers one question — "Where can I park for free right now, and stay as long as I need?" — with a red/green grid laid over the map. Skip red, chase green. SEE FREE PARKING AT A GLANCE • Green curbs: free parking permitted. Red curbs: free parking restricted. • Covers 50,000+ blocks across all five boroughs. PARK ON YOUR TERMS • Set how long you'll stay, from 6 hours to a full week, and the grid turns red wherever a rule would catch you. • Remain-time markers show the longest you can stay on each block. • Holidays can stretch that to nearly two weeks. During an alternate side parking suspension, set your stay to a full week: the curbs still green are the ones the holiday frees up, and the markers show for how long. EVERY RULE ON THE BLOCK • Tap a block to see each posted rule, the stretches of curb it covers, and how long until it changes. • Open any rule's full weekly schedule. • Search for a block by street or intersection. DRIVE MODE: PROWL, DON'T PRAY • Mount your phone and drive. The map follows you and names the block you're on. • End the drive and Spoturr offers to mark where you parked. ALARMS • Set an alarm on a parking rule, like street cleaning, and get a push before it kicks in (time to move the car) or before it lifts (a spot is about to open up). • One-off or repeating, with an optional email. Snooze right from the notification. SHARE THE CAR • Mark where your vehicle is parked: at your current location, on the map, or by searching for a block. • Invite co-drivers with a link or QR code. Everyone sees where the car is and gets notified when someone moves it. • Vehicle alarms reach every co-driver, and the Activity feed shows who parked, moved, or joined. PINS & BOOKMARKS • Drop color-coded pins on spots worth remembering, and bookmark blocks with a note. Spoturr is built from the city's published parking-sign data. Signs change, so always check the posted sign before you walk away.
