# HotS Helper vs Battle.net

The clearest difference is review sentiment: HotS Helper at 90% against Battle.net's 24%. HotS Helper also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). Battle.net's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). On price and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HotS Helper sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Battle.net asks for nothing beyond the download.

Battle.net holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Battle.net has 36K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of HotS Helper's written reviews are positive against 24% of Battle.net's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HotS Helper ships an update every 4 months, Battle.net every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
