# Verkada Command vs AddVantage

The clearest difference is monetization model: AddVantage at free against Verkada Command's paid. AddVantage also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.6). Verkada Command's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (237 vs 6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AddVantage holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Verkada Command has 237 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Verkada Command ships an update weekly, AddVantage every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
