# Black Lite vs Nokia Launcher

The clearest difference is update cadence: Nokia Launcher at every 3 days against Black Lite's every 3 weeks. Nokia Launcher also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.5). Black Lite's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (4.4K vs 120). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Black Lite sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year and Nokia Launcher sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Black Lite holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Black Lite has 4.4K ratings behind it against 120, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Black Lite's written reviews are positive against 69% of Nokia Launcher's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Black Lite ships an update every 3 weeks, Nokia Launcher every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
