# Black Lite vs WallStyle

The clearest difference is monetization model: Black Lite at free with in-app purchases against WallStyle's subscription. Black Lite also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (4.4K vs 3). WallStyle's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Black Lite sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year and WallStyle sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WallStyle holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Black Lite has 4.4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Black Lite ships an update every 3 weeks, WallStyle every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
