# Solos vs Sparrow

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Solos at 100% against Sparrow's 28%. Solos also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 11) and device support (3 vs 1). Sparrow's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 2.4) and ratings volume (3.6K vs 5). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sparrow sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Solos asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sparrow holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sparrow has 3.6K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Solos's written reviews are positive against 28% of Sparrow's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Solos ships an update every 2 months, Sparrow every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
