# Hatch Sleep vs Float

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Float at 100% against Hatch Sleep's 9%. Float also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and rating (5.0 vs 4.5). Hatch Sleep's advantage is ratings volume (62K vs 2) and chart position (#11 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hatch Sleep sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Float sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Float holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hatch Sleep has 62K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 9% of Hatch Sleep's written reviews are positive against 100% of Float's.
