# Notejoy vs Relanote

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Notejoy at 47% against Relanote's 0%. Notejoy also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 33 months) and ratings volume (29 vs 6). Relanote's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notejoy sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $47.99 per year and Relanote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Relanote holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 29 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Notejoy's written reviews are positive against 0% of Relanote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Notejoy ships an update every 10 days, Relanote every 33 months. The most recent releases landed on July 21, 2026 and September 9, 2026 respectively.
