# Chatstasy vs Contact Transfer

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chatstasy at none against Contact Transfer's 2. Chatstasy also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (15 vs 2). Contact Transfer's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Contact Transfer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Chatstasy asks for nothing beyond the download.

Chatstasy holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chatstasy has 15 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Chatstasy ships an update every 3 months, Contact Transfer every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
