# Dayless vs Simple Daily Diary

The clearest difference is price: Simple Daily Diary at Free against Dayless's $1.99. Simple Daily Diary also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 44). Dayless's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 50 months). On ads there is nothing between them.

Simple Daily Diary is free to download; Dayless costs $1.99 up front. Simple Daily Diary sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Dayless asks for nothing beyond the download.

Simple Daily Diary holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Daily Diary has 1.3K ratings behind it against 44, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Dayless's written reviews are positive against 52% of Simple Daily Diary's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dayless ships an update every 2 months, Simple Daily Diary every 50 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
