# ECNL vs OTA 25

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: OTA 25 at none against ECNL's 1. OTA 25 also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). ECNL's advantage is ratings volume (5.8K vs 7). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ECNL sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. OTA 25 asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for ECNL against 4.4 for OTA 25. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ECNL has 5.8K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ECNL ships an update every 4 weeks, OTA 25 every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
