# ECNL vs Athlete Foundry

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Athlete Foundry at none against ECNL's 1. Athlete Foundry also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). ECNL's advantage is ratings volume (5.8K vs 4) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ECNL sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Athlete Foundry asks for nothing beyond the download.

Athlete Foundry holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ECNL has 5.8K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
