# ECNL vs Wellington Wave

The clearest difference is rating: ECNL at 4.6 against Wellington Wave's 4.0. ECNL also leads on ratings volume (5.8K vs 22). Wellington Wave's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 10%) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ECNL sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Wellington Wave asks for nothing beyond the download.

ECNL holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ECNL has 5.8K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of ECNL's written reviews are positive against 50% of Wellington Wave's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ECNL ships an update every 4 weeks, Wellington Wave weekly. Both last shipped on October 22, 2026.
