# ECNL vs Reeplayer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Reeplayer at 75% against ECNL's 10%. ECNL's advantage is ratings volume (5.8K vs 19) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ECNL sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month and Reeplayer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ECNL holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ECNL has 5.8K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of ECNL's written reviews are positive against 75% of Reeplayer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ECNL ships an update every 4 weeks, Reeplayer every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
