# ECNL vs D1Pulse

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: D1Pulse at none against ECNL's 1. D1Pulse also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). ECNL's advantage is ratings volume (5.8K vs 3) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ECNL sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. D1Pulse asks for nothing beyond the download.

D1Pulse holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ECNL has 5.8K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ECNL ships an update every 4 weeks, D1Pulse every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
