# ECNL vs Elite Rank

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Elite Rank at 50% against ECNL's 10%. ECNL's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (5.8K vs 13). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ECNL sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month and Elite Rank sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ECNL holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ECNL has 5.8K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of ECNL's written reviews are positive against 50% of Elite Rank's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ECNL ships an update every 4 weeks, Elite Rank every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
