# ECNL vs Patched App

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Patched App at none against ECNL's 1. Patched App also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 4 weeks). ECNL's advantage is ratings volume (5.8K vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ECNL sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Patched App asks for nothing beyond the download.

Patched App holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ECNL has 5.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
