# Travelear vs EchoVision

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: EchoVision at none against Travelear's 2. EchoVision also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Travelear's advantage is ratings volume (66 vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Travelear sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. EchoVision asks for nothing beyond the download.

EchoVision holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Travelear has 66 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Travelear's written reviews are positive against 80% of EchoVision's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Travelear ships an update every 2 weeks, EchoVision every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
