# VIP vs Code5Group

The clearest difference is rating: Code5Group at 5.0 against VIP's 3.6. Code5Group also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). VIP's advantage is ratings volume (17 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Code5Group holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VIP has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
