# Emojil vs Icony

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Emojil at 100% against Icony's 56%. Emojil also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 70 months) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Icony's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.2). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Icony holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 21 and 23 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Emojil's written reviews are positive against 56% of Icony's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Emojil ships an update every 4 days, Icony every 70 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
