# 简讯 vs 文状元

The clearest difference is rating: 简讯 at 4.7 against 文状元's 4.0. 简讯 also leads on review sentiment (89% vs 75%) and ratings volume (48 vs 4). 文状元's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 简讯 sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and 文状元 sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

简讯 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 简讯 has 48 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 89% of 简讯's written reviews are positive against 75% of 文状元's.

简讯 ships an update every 2 weeks, 文状元 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
