# Space Wave vs Rocket Sky!

The clearest difference is rating: Rocket Sky! at 4.5 against Space Wave's 3.0. Rocket Sky! also leads on ratings volume (109K vs 2). Space Wave's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Space Wave sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Rocket Sky! sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rocket Sky! holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rocket Sky! has 109K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Space Wave ships an update fortnightly, Rocket Sky! every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
