# Wemo vs goAhead

The clearest difference is rating: goAhead at 5.0 against Wemo's 1.8. goAhead also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Wemo's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

goAhead holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wemo has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
