# Magic Lumen vs PRO RGB

The clearest difference is rating: Magic Lumen at 2.3 against PRO RGB's 1.9. Magic Lumen also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). PRO RGB's advantage is review sentiment (13% vs 0%) and ratings volume (27 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Magic Lumen holds the better App Store score, 2.3 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PRO RGB has 27 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Magic Lumen's written reviews are positive against 13% of PRO RGB's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Magic Lumen ships an update every 8 days, PRO RGB every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
