# Fora vs Eptura Engage

The clearest difference is monetization model: Fora at free against Eptura Engage's subscription. Fora also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and review sentiment (33% vs 12%). Eptura Engage's advantage is ratings volume (679 vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fora holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Eptura Engage has 679 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of Fora's written reviews are positive against 12% of Eptura Engage's.

Fora ships an update every 6 weeks, Eptura Engage fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
