# Weather Connect vs Red River Connect

The clearest difference is rating: Red River Connect at 4.2 against Weather Connect's 1.5. Weather Connect's advantage is ratings volume (109 vs 5) and iOS requirement (9.1 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Red River Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Weather Connect has 109 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 6% of Weather Connect's written reviews are positive against 0% of Red River Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
