# Steingass vs Quranic

The clearest difference is rating: Quranic at 4.9 against Steingass's 4.0. Quranic also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (4.2K vs 4). Steingass's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and review sentiment (100% vs 87%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Quranic sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Steingass asks for nothing beyond the download.

Quranic holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Quranic has 4.2K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Steingass's written reviews are positive against 87% of Quranic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Steingass ships an update every 6 months, Quranic every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
