# Raw! Photo DNG Camera vs Simple RAW Camera

The clearest difference is rating: Simple RAW Camera at 4.3 against Raw! Photo DNG Camera's 3.0. Simple RAW Camera also leads on ratings volume (83 vs 6). Raw! Photo DNG Camera's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Raw! Photo DNG Camera sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Simple RAW Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simple RAW Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple RAW Camera has 83 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Raw! Photo DNG Camera's written reviews are positive against 55% of Simple RAW Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Raw! Photo DNG Camera ships an update every 5 days, Simple RAW Camera every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
