# VPN.AC vs VPNET

The clearest difference is rating: VPNET at 4.5 against VPN.AC's 3.2. VPNET also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). VPN.AC's advantage is review sentiment (37% vs 19%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VPNET holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 49 and 34 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of VPN.AC's written reviews are positive against 19% of VPNET's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VPN.AC ships an update every 5 months, VPNET fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
