# Instants vs Pic Editor

The clearest difference is price: Pic Editor at Free against Instants's $1.99. Instants's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 16 months). On in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Pic Editor is free to download; Instants costs $1.99 up front. Instants sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pic Editor sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Instants ships an update every 2 months, Pic Editor every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
