# myCAMPapp vs Scouting

The clearest difference is rating: myCAMPapp at 4.9 against Scouting's 2.0. Scouting's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks) and review sentiment (13% vs 0%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

myCAMPapp holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 467 and 915 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of myCAMPapp's written reviews are positive against 13% of Scouting's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
