# Countdown Collection vs Countdown Widget | Day Counter

The clearest difference is update cadence: Countdown Widget | Day Counter at every 6 weeks against Countdown Collection's every 5 months. Countdown Widget | Day Counter also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (196 vs 39). Countdown Collection's advantage is review sentiment (57% vs 42%) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown Collection sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Countdown Widget | Day Counter sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown Widget | Day Counter holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown Widget | Day Counter has 196 ratings behind it against 39, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Countdown Collection's written reviews are positive against 42% of Countdown Widget | Day Counter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Countdown Collection ships an update every 5 months, Countdown Widget | Day Counter every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
