# Upper App vs Family Task Manager

The clearest difference is rating: Upper App at 4.0 against Family Task Manager's 1.0. Upper App also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Family Task Manager sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Upper App asks for nothing beyond the download.

Upper App holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Upper App has 19 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Upper App's written reviews are positive against 67% of Family Task Manager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Upper App ships an update every 4 days, Family Task Manager fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
