# DayNinja vs Focused Work

The clearest difference is rating: Focused Work at 4.7 against DayNinja's 4.0. Focused Work also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (603 vs 4). DayNinja's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 14) and review sentiment (100% vs 85%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focused Work sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. DayNinja asks for nothing beyond the download.

Focused Work holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focused Work has 603 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of DayNinja's written reviews are positive against 85% of Focused Work's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DayNinja ships an update every 2 months, Focused Work weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
