# BBQ Go vs BF Home

The clearest difference is monetization model: BF Home at free against BBQ Go's paid. BF Home also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 3 months). BBQ Go's advantage is ratings volume (154 vs 9) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 2.7 for BBQ Go against 2.6 for BF Home. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BBQ Go has 154 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 32% of BBQ Go's written reviews are positive against 38% of BF Home's.

BBQ Go ships an update every 3 months, BF Home every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
