# SMS vs SDNM

The clearest difference is monetization model: SDNM at free against SMS's free with in-app purchases. SMS's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SMS holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 6 respectively.

SMS ships an update monthly, SDNM every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
