# Token Transit vs SunRide

The clearest difference is rating: SunRide at 4.4 against Token Transit's 3.3. SunRide also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). Token Transit's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (39% vs 25%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SunRide holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Token Transit has 430 ratings behind it against 65, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of Token Transit's written reviews are positive against 25% of SunRide's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Token Transit ships an update every 3 months, SunRide every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
