# Basic.Space vs Faive

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Faive at 100% against Basic.Space's 67%. Faive also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6). Basic.Space's advantage is ratings volume (321 vs 18) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Faive holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Basic.Space has 321 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of Basic.Space's written reviews are positive against 100% of Faive's.

Basic.Space ships an update weekly, Faive fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
