# Zumiez vs Effy Exotics

The clearest difference is rating: Effy Exotics at 4.9 against Zumiez's 4.1. Effy Exotics also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Zumiez's advantage is ratings volume (5.2K vs 12) and chart position (#198 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Effy Exotics holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zumiez has 5.2K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two.
